1 Hotel West Hollywood IS FINALLY HERE

The secret is out - the 1 Hotel West Hollywood is officially open! Remember that city oasis I was telling you about on my last work trip to LA… it was the 1 Hotel West Hollywood, I just had to keep it a secret until the hotel was finally open to the pubic. It is the perfect escape from the bustling Los Angeles streets, not to mention the BEST location - and it doesn't hurt that it's just a few doors down from my LA go to store, Fred Segal.
The 1 Hotel has undergone a major renovation, taking over the space known formerly as the The Jeremy hotel. It’s the first West Coast location for the brand, which was spearheaded by Barry Sternlicht (former chairman of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and chairman and founder of Starwood Capital Group, which is the parent company of 1 Hotels). Other locations I’ve been to and loved are in Brooklyn, Central Park, and South Beach (my personal fav due to the rooftop of course).
Similarly to Sternlicht’s other 1 Hotel locations, the West Hollywood version is rooted in sustainability. Everything from the keys and in-room hangers are made of reclaimed wood. The carpets are fabricated from repurposed plastics found in the ocean. The notepads that are in the room have been swapped for chalk slates to reduce paper waste and other paper goods have been replaced by their app, which is genius. I’ve never seen anything like this at another hotel.
When I go to LA I often feel overwhelmed by driving around for work in traffic, trying to see all my friends, getting all my content in, etc… I’m so excited to now have a place I can call a second home that gives me all the relaxing feels I need after a crazy day. Especially since my work travels with me, it is nice to have a place that I now feel as a home-base -some place where I can have meetings at the bar, take calls in my room, or even do the occasional photo shoot. Considering I will be back in LA a few more times this summer, the opening couldn’t come at a better time!
