In this post I’m wearing a dress by LoveShackFancy, a wanderlust label designed by Rebecca Hessel Cohen. Rebecca spent her childhood summers at her family’s house in the Hamptons where her love affair with the beach began. Similar to Rebecca, I also grew up summering in the Hamptons. My parents bought an old red farm house from the writer John Irving 25 years ago in Sagaponack. This house dubbed “The Sandbox” is home to my fondest memories of my childhood. Now my friends and I use this house as an escape from the ever hectic city… somewhere my friends and I can go and not worry about washing the sand off our feet before walking inside!
LoveShackFancy launched in May 2013, and ever since I laid my eyes on my first LoveShackFancy item I’ve been completely, and utterly fascinated with the brand! I love the girly and whimsical feeling that the brand gives off. I always feel like I should be adorned in a flower crown running through sunflower fields when I’m decked in LoveShackFancy.
I paired this LoveShackFancy Joey dress with my high top converse, and my favorite glittered cat ears from Ricky’s! If you know me, you know that I love to bring theatrics to any outfit or look. As an actress I studied costume design all throughout college, and have always had a huge appreciation for taking a theatrical risk in fashion! Style is supposed to be an embodiment of your own personal style and mood, so why not have some fun with it?!
