Nothing feels more feminine and fun than a ruffled fringe dress for a night out on the town! I am OBSESSED with everything Cinq a Sept makes, and the dress above is definitely no exception!
The story behind this shoot is actually very funny. All week I was going on and on about the sickest mural I saw on Instagram that had just gone up on the corner of Kenmare on Mott street in SoHo… I thought this outfit would be perfect to shoot in front of it. The mural was bright pink with flowers, and other cute objects sketched in. By the time we had arrived at the location there was no mural. It had been painted over in black. It took us thirty minutes of walking around and around the block to realize that we were in the correct location, but the mural was long gone. After a brief moment of disappointment, we laughed it off and began to shoot the look in front of the love wall, and some charming restaurants.
I share this story because I find that there is so much energy, hype, and decision making that goes into a shoot that you don’t really get to see. You only get to see the final 8-10 pictures after they are edited. I decided I am going to try and share more of the background behind the location or looks, because I know for me at least I am always wanting to know more about other street and editorial shoot as well!
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
