In this look I went for an Italian flare! The dress is Antpitgora, and the kicks are from my all time go to shoe Golden Goose Deluxe Brand! Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is Italy’s version of Converse: simple cotton sneakers meet artisan craftsmanship, all still retaining a rock-and-roll vibe. The brand started in 2007 by the young designers Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo. Currently there is only one flagship store located in Milan, however the brand plans to open in Paris, Tokyo, New York, Venice and Seoul in the near future! “The goal was to complete the look and the lifestyle of the GGDB woman, but not with just any shoe. /Thanks to our passion for casual shoes, we created a high-end product, made by hand and with a used effect. We wanted to start a collecting process,” explains Gallo and Rinaldo.
Although branded as “Italy’s version of the American Converse” there is a major difference in price. I personally found the pair I’m wearing above on eBay! I suggest finding your own pair on eBay because it can be a fraction of the price. (Side note they run very true to size… I am a size 7 US and bought a 37 IT and they fit perfectly!)
The dress I am wearing is from the Italian luxury fashion brand Antpitgora designed by Antonio Pitagora. Pitagora created the brand in 2014 as a unisex inspired collection with original prints, and techno street materials mixed with contemporary shapes…AntiPitagora is definitely a brand to look out for!
I found this dress at my favorite store on the North Shore of Long Island, Maddy’s 390! Maddy’s 390 is one of the most unique and curated stores I’ve ever stepped foot in. The store always has rare pieces of clothing and accessories that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. The owners Maddy and Howie Cohen find pieces from their travels in Italy and France; and choose each piece specifically based on their following. Maddy’s 390 opened over ten years ago in Wheatly Plaza, a glamorous shopping center in Greenvale, Long Island. Before opening Maddy felt there was a definite void to find unique European brands at affordable prices. Many people crave the European feel but don’t want to spend on the high end designers. I have personally found the most fabulous pieces from Maddy’s 390! Maddy is beyond warm and inviting when you enter the store, and has a serious forte for finding the unique and chic! If you haven’t visited Maddy’s 390 yet RUN DON’T WALK!
